Nasal FAQs

What is the average nose job recovery time?

When should I expect to be able to go out in public after a nose job and when will the bandages come off? Most patients need approximately one week to ‘recover’ from a rhinoplasty. Some mild to moderate discomfort and some nausea may be present the first few days and it may be difficult to breathe out of your nose initially. The cast comes off at one week and at this time you can go into the public eye. You may still have some mild bruising. Swelling takes a year to completely resolve, but is dramatically improved in the first couple of weeks.

What if I need a revision rhinoplasty?

It is of course best to avoid the need for a revision rhinoplasty by chosing a surgeon who specializes in nasal surgery and having proper communication with your surgeon before your surgery. Revision rhinoplasty can be minor (small residual hump..) or more involved (correcting a pinched tip) depending on the issue that is bothering you.
