Reconstructive Procedure

The term reconstructive procedures is fairly broad and encompasses procedures that are designed to improve the appearance of a deformity resulting from cancer, trauma or congenital malformations such as skin cancer, a broken facial bone or facial scar or malformed ears either from birth or from piercings/gauging. The nature of the procedure will depend on the nature of the defect. Dr. Barr’s expertise in the head and neck area allows her to approach a wide variety of problems in this area with an educated and creative eye. Typically these procedures are performed as day surgery, meaning you will go home the same day with bruising that can last from days to weeks depending on the nature of the repair.
